Elly hosted her bed NO breakfast in The Hague for many years. Guests from all over the world showed their satisfaction. Where possible, she makes the impossible come true! Gerard has a background in healthcare and government and wanted to change tack. Well, he succeeded! In the house, tasks are done jointly, but we also each have our specific share.

Together we provide a daily changing breakfast for the bed and breakfast guests [included in the price!] and several times a week a Mesa do Casa: table d'hôte the Portuguese way. Guests from the apartment can also join the table for a fee! Conviviality, care and personal contact to make your stay unforgettable! Oh, yes, how did they get here? Well, that was a search for an ideal accommodation. Ideal, with several luxury rooms en suite, swimming pool, lovely garden. Well, that didn't happen overnight. And nay, it almost went wrong. They bought a house in summer 2018, but during the transition period - read rental period prior - to the handover, all sorts of things went wrong there. Leaks, broken stoves, failure of electricity, whatnot. So the transfer did not go through, and they took the loss of the deposit. Searching again. And at Villa Branca Barreiros, things worked out in 2019.

So what's special about this bed and breakfast? Naturally clean, good breakfast, nice rooms with lovely spacious bathrooms, but above all ‘Elly and Gerard’. Always willing to go the extra mile to ensure you have a wonderful stay. The region is inviting on many levels. Use your time well, rest when it is warm by the pool, and possibly leave for a second adventure in one day.
